Living in a sustainable btr world

AGC BTR REVEAL THEIR LATEST STEPS IN BECOMING A MORE RESPONSIBLE COMPANY.

New research released by KPMG surrounding ESG factors (that's Environmental, Social and Governance) showed that it is a big deal to almost half of UK workers, with 46% wanting their company to make bold ESG commitments and actually follow through with them. And get this, 20% of people even turned down job offers because the company's ESG values didn't match their own! If you're 18-24, that number jumps up to 33%, so it seems like more and more people are going to be taking ESG seriously when looking for work.

ESG in the workplace

In recent years, there has been a significant shift in the way people view the role of businesses in society. ESG factors have become increasingly important, and companies are expected to align their values and actions with these principles. Companies are realising that how they impact the environment, how they treat their employees, and their ethical practices are all really important factors for investors and their reputation. So now, lots of companies are starting to take ESG seriously and incorporating it into their business strategies. They're doing stuff like reducing carbon emissions, promoting diversity and inclusion, and making sure they're behaving ethically. It's not just good for their image, but it's also helping to create a more sustainable and just world. Now employees are caring about ESG more than ever, companies will see a push in their recruitment if they are actively pushing ESG.

We’re one step ahead of the game. Our team is working hard to deliver a more future-focused approach to our BTR schemes. In turn, we are devoted to showing investors, developers, and financial institutions how design can be sustainable, a solution to strengthening their ESG credentials at such a critical time. Furthermore within our designs we are committed to seeking full traceability from our suppliers and being fully transparent on the make-up of our product through the use of our environmental icons. With this process we are able to tell you what is made locally, is harvested in compliance with regulations to protect our natural resources, organic and made without plastic and much more.

A B Corp RENTAL REVOLUTION

Since 2012 we've been on a mission to be the best furnishing and interior provider on the planet and now we are on a mission to make the planet a better place too. In 2023 we were proud to become Britain's first B Corp certified Interior Design collective. As a future-focused collective, we realised how much difference we could be making on eco and social levels. So instead of sustaining and maintaining our performance, AGC BTR prioritised plans to regenerate and commence a never-ending journey towards 'sustainability' and do our bit to make the planet a better place for every being.

Our team are working on a more sustainable approach to our BTR schemes, keen to show investors, developers and financial institutions how design can be sustainable; a solution to strengthening their ESG credentials at such a critical time.

Sustainability measures have already seen us achieve our ISO14001 Environmental accreditation, and we are proud to partner with Walpole and its members to work towards a shared ambition of creating a more sustainable industry for the top British Luxury Brands.

our carbon neutral journey

Sustainability is a constantly evolving journey, and alongside our B Corp and ISO14001 environmental certifications, we are now setting out our pathway to achieving Net Zero carbon emissions. We are prioritising our own impacts - our energy consumption, transport, logistics, and resource use - but increasingly will be working with our partners and suppliers to reduce the full life cycle emissions of all our products and services. We have commenced a comprehensive carbon audit of our operations, which we expect to complete by summer 2023. And this will lead to a detailed Carbon Reduction Strategy and a committed Net Zero roadmap and timetable. With the growing threat of global warming, there are few more important aims, and one that we will all need to be part of, as we pursue our ambition of leading sustainability in the British interior design industry.

Offering interior architectural, show home and furniture range design all under one roof, AGC are obsessed with supplying a superior multi-unit product that, in turn, maximises investment return.
