Introducing Clementine Cooper: Welcome to Our Growing Design Team
OUR TEAM SPOTLIGHT
As AGC BTR continues to expand across the Multiunit Residential, Hospitality, and Work Spaces sectors, we're growing our creative team to match the scale and ambition of our projects. Great design sits at the core of everything we deliver – balancing functionality, sustainability and visual impact – and we’re excited to introduce a new voice helping bring that vision to life.
Clementine Cooper joins us as an Interior Designer, bringing with her a passion for layered, characterful interiors and a background in sustainable textiles. We caught up with her to chat about her design journey, creative inspirations and a few personal passions outside the studio.
MORE ABOUT CLEMENTINE
Tell us a bit about your journey. What pulled you into the world of interior design?
“I’ve always loved being creative, and that passion has been there since I was young. My mum’s a designer and architect, so you could say it’s in my DNA, she’s been a big inspiration to me over the years. I started with an art foundation year at Loughborough University, which naturally led me into a Textiles Design BA (Hons), where I specialised in sustainable interior design.”
Since joining the team, has there been a standout AGC BTR project that’s really resonated with you? What made it stand out?
“Dolphin Square has been a real highlight for me. It’s such a large-scale project with so many moving parts, which I find incredibly motivating. We worked with a palette of soft blues and burnt oranges, which really helped bring a more welcoming and community-focused feel to the space. We’ve got some exciting projects in the pipeline too, I’m genuinely looking forward to what’s next!”
now take your notes…
What design trends are you loving right now, and which ones do you think it’s time to let go of?
“I’m really enjoying the rise of curves in interiors: sculptural sofas, organic-shaped chairs and flowing lines that bring softness to a space. Deep velvets in earthy tones like rusty orange and olive green are also favourites of mine right now, they bring warmth and depth.
As for what I’d leave behind…I think the overly minimalist, black-and-white schemes are on their way out. There’s so much more character you can bring in through colour, texture, and natural materials. Interior design should feel layered and lived in.”
If you could style your dream space at home, what materials, finishes or brands would be your go-tos?
“My dream space would feel calm, natural and warm. Think light oak woods, linens, and a warm, earthy palette. I love working with brands like Lelièvre for their rich velvets and beautiful patterned fabrics, and I’ve always been a fan of Samuel & Sons for trims and piping—those little details make a huge difference. For paints, COAT Paints is my go-to. Their colours feel grounded and fresh at the same time. We’ve used some of these brands in our projects too so definitely worth keeping an eye out!”
LASTLY, Quickfire Round!
Any holiday plans or dream destinations?
I’m heading back to Italy, a small town called Chiavenna, to train for some upcoming athletics races. It’s part training camp, part recharge.
Go-to packed lunch for site or studio days?
A rice poke bowl: brown rice, avocado, roasted nuts and seeds, salmon, cucumber, and fresh greens, all finished with olive oil and lemon. YUM.
Favourite weekday workout to reset or energise you?
As an athlete training every day to compete internationally, I need variety. But Tuesday evening intervals at the track are definitely a highlight!
We’re proud to be growing across sectors with thoughtful, design-led solutions.
